Bows: Big and Bouncy or Small and Simple

In a world of diversity, you will always hear different opinions; and that's a good thing. When it comes to wrapping, bows are usually what wrappers will include on their projects for several reasons. First, bows add to the magic of seeing the receiver untying the knot before shredding the paper and discovering the surprise. Second, because it also really helps hold the gift wrap together. Many presents don't have the classic rectangular shape and become really difficult to wrap. Using a bow will help you in those circumstances. Now, should you use big and bouncy bows or small and simple bows? Unfortunately, there is no answer to that question considering everyone has different tastes.

Bouncy bows are usually made with a large ribbon. They are really appropriate for large presents. Cut a piece of ribbon and wrap it across the present. Once you have gone all the way in the back, do not forget to cross the two ends of the ribbon and start wrapping it around toward the other two sides of the box. The next step is to make a knot with large loops and cut the hanging edges triangularly.
If you're more of a small and simple bow type of person, repeat all the steps above. Once you get to the making of the knot, just keep the loops small and cut the edges at a fair length (about the same length as the loops). Now you can add some curls to them by using one side of your scissors and rubbing the ribbon between your thumb and the blade of the scissors. Be careful not to cut yourself.
